Job Description:

This successful individual will be primarily responsible for the generation of CAD drawings and engineering documents. Duties also will include providing technical support to sales consultants, fabricating engineering samples, inspecting and analysis. In addition, from time to time, the individual will be required to deal directly with manufacturing sites in Asia.

Education:

Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Experience:

Ideal candidate should be a motivated and technical individual that possesses an eye for detail. Experience using Autocad R14 and/or ProE is a MUST! Background in electronic and/or mechanical design is preferred.

Bilingual, English/Chinese is a plus.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Desire to embark on a challenging role with a fast growing international organization.

• Excellent communication skills to develop long-term relationships with internal  and external "customers".

• Must be able to work independently and contribute to the success of the  international Northstar team.

Job Description:

The individual would be primarily responsible for all electrical aspects of connector, cable, and peripheral product design. Duties would include design for signal integrity, PCB layout, component selection, agency approvals, specification of cable, and the development of electrical test procedures and specifications. Other responsibilities include technical support to sales staff and customers, fabrication of engineering samples, testing, and analysis. In addition, from time to time, this individual would be required to deal directly with manufacturing sites in Asia. Bilingual, English/Chinese is a plus, but not required.

Experience:

The ideal candidate for this position should be a motivated and technical individual possessing a BSEE, with 2-5 years experience minimum.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of high speed interconnects and devices, such as IEEE 1394 and USB are required. In addition, the individual should posses a strong understanding of EMI/RFI issues related to high-speed computer and telecommunications product design and testing. Experience in high frequency testing and measurement using TDR, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and pulse/data generators is preferred.
